But I\u2019ve had a big change of late and thought I\u2019d write about it.<\/p>\n<p>The change is\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0now moved out of Edinburgh and left Alien Rock. I\u2019ve moved to Fort William and am now working in the new climbing wall Three Wise Monkeys.<\/p>\n<p>I had been in Edinburgh for almost 10 years moving over for uni and then working at Alien for just over 8 years. I needed a change, a job popped up at the new wall in Fort William and I thought I\u2019d apply to see what happened. I&#8217;d wanted to move north or south to get closer to the hills, get climbing, walking, skiing more often and get back into some paddle sports.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_249\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-249\" class=\"wp-image-249 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/hodnett.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMAG0513-300x170.jpg\" alt=\"View of the Ben near my new home\" width=\"300\" height=\"170\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hodnett.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMAG0513-300x170.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hodnett.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMAG0513-768x434.jpg 768w, https:\/\/hodnett.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMAG0513-1024x579.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-249\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">View of the Ben near my new home<\/p><\/div>\n<p>After a long wait there was an epic interview involving a train to Fort William and an early start back to Glasgow with the group interviews starting on the <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_104420126\"><span class=\"aQJ\">7 o&#8217;clock<\/span><\/span> train to Glasgow, a group climbing session in TCA, and then back through to Edinburgh.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/threewisemonkeysclimbing.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/threewisemonkeysclimbing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/3WM-logo.png\" width=\"323\" height=\"177\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A week later I got a job! I was so happy and I moved up at the end March to help get the wall ready with routes, tidying up, painting and staff training. I&#8217;m missing people in Edinburgh, but I\u2019ve been getting back into canoeing, getting climbing lots and soloed Tower Ridge and summited onto the Ben for the first time, super psyched for more \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully\u00a0 you&#8217;ll all come back to visit my site<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wow, it&#8217;s been awhile since I\u2019ve put anything up on here, I just haven\u2019t really felt like put anything up.
